Mode of Instruction
The College operates a course system of instruction-each course shall carry one or more credit hours. One credit hour course is a course that meets for one hour of lecture/tutorial per week for 15 weeks.
Every course in each department has a code number. The code numbers are determined by the year of study (First year 100 level, second year = 200 level, third year = 300 level and fourth year = 400 level), the semester in which the course is taken and the serial number of such a course in the de-partment. For example, in the Department of General Studies English Language 1 is the number one course on the list. This Course also comes up in the first of the eight Semesters; hence we code it thus: English Language 1 -GES 111 – Meaning that the course is a first semester course, it is the first on the list of courses in its department and it is coming up in the first year.
